A Personal Guide to Seattle’s Best Spots for Rest, Recovery, and Whole-Body Wellness
Seattle is one of the most unassuming cities when it comes to wellness. Contrary to what most people may think, Seattle is more than just a city for coffee and rain lovers. Scottsdale gets a lot of attention for being a mecca for wellness retreat and spa days. I promise you do not need to book a flight for that same vibe. You can curate your own wellness haven right here in Seattle if you know where to go. As a fitness coach, I believe true wellness extends far beyond squats and protein shakes. Yes, it’s about movement but also rest, nourishment, and care.
So in this blog, I’m pulling back the curtain and sharing some of my favorite spots in Seattle where I go and send clients. Each of the locations named below will provide a space to feel grounded and recharged. Whether you’re craving a restorative float, a nourishing meal, or a peaceful walk in nature, I’ve covered all the bases.
Let’s start with healthy eats and juice bars. I don’t know about you but I need to have a running list of healthy places to grab lunch or indulge a little. It comes in handy when those random thoughts about Hello Robin and a sweet treat try to take over.
I Love Teriyaki
When the craving for real comfort food hits, I Love Teriyaki on Stone Way delivers every time. This neighborhood spot dishes up generous plates of flavorful, straightforward teriyaki that never disappoints. The portions are hearty, the flavors dependable, and the kind of satisfying you’ll find yourself coming back for again and again. Full disclosure, there’s nothing flashy here…just good food that hits the spot. A reminder that the simplest meals often carry the best nutrition.
Sweetgreen Salad Bar
Sweetgreen offers nourishment that honors both your body and your mind. You will definitely achieve your ‘colorful plate’ goals here. Yes, it is a salad bar but it’s also more than that! When you order a salad (or bowl) you get a whole smorgasbord of seasonal ingredients that fuel you with what you need to meet your fitness goals. No matter what those goals may be. Their menu is thoughtful yet approachable so don’t be overwhelmed by the amount of choices. Every offering has a balance of flavor and freshness. This place is a reminder that simple foods can be effective and tasty. Think of this place as a small act of care for yourself. It has never been easier to align what you crave with what sustains you.
Drift Yoga

I don’t offer this recommendation casually. Drift Yoga in South Lake Union is more than just a workout. It’s where you go to return to self. Their classes combine a bit of athletic challenge with restorative grounding. Which will help you to build physical resilience but also release the mental clutter that sometimes weighs us down. The instructors here have created a community that feels welcoming and deeply intentional. Sure you can come and flex your perfect yogi poses but here it’s really about reconnecting with your body, your mind, and your center. After every class you leave lighter, clearer and more aligned.
Float Seattle
When you need to hit pause and truly unwind, Float Seattle is a sanctuary for deep relaxation. Their sensory deprivation tanks create a zero-gravity environment with zero stimuli. This method helps to lower cortisol levels (the hormone linked to stress) and promote the release of endorphins, (your body’s natural “feel good” chemicals). Floating has been shown to ease muscle tension, improve sleep quality, and even enhance mental clarity and creativity. When you’re recovering from tough strength training workouts and need a mental reset this is a peaceful escape where your body can rest and recharge.
The Ladies Room
Tucked away in Seattle, Ladies Room is one of those rare gems that feels like both a treat and a reset button. LR is a self-care studio that offers everything from relaxing massages and restorative body scrubs to custom facials and waxing. That just screams “self-care oasis” to me! The best part is it is all beautifully curated in a welcoming space. Bear in mind, even though it is designed as a sanctuary for women and femmes they do host All-Gender Wednesdays. This is their initiative towards creating space for anyone to experience rest and care in a supportive environment. When you’ve had a stressful week, the Ladies Room is a great place to reconnect with your body.
MindBody Med
I don’t extend this recommendation lightly. This one is for those who are ready to honor their physical health and emotional wellbeing. MindBody Med in Seattle offers a truly integrative approach. Their team blends traditional medical knowledge with evidence based holistic therapies like acupuncture, functional medicine and mind-body counseling to help you heal at the root. MindBody Med meets you where you are with compassion and clinical expertise. The staff there will help you navigate stress, hormonal imbalances and find greater alignment with your body as a whole. It’s care that feels both grounded and empowering. Everyone is given a tailored experience catered to the whole you. They care so much!
Discovery Park Loop Trail

I’ve covered all the wellness that might cost you a bit of money but sometimes the best wellness practice is simply stepping outside. Discovery Park Loop Trail offers a breath of fresh air…literally and figuratively. It is a 2.8-mile loop that winds through meadows, forest groves, and scenic landings. On this trail you’ll get a front-row seat to Seattle’s natural beauty. It’s peaceful and surprisingly quiet for being so close to the city. You all know I love hiking! I frequent here when I am craving a good hike or walk with a view. I encourage you to go here and slow down, tune out and let nature do what it does best: restore you.
Although wellness isn’t a checklist these spots have become part of the rhythm that helps me and my clients feel more grounded, present, and connected. Try one. Try a few. See what speaks to you. The beauty of healing is that it’s personal and Seattle has so much to offer when you step beyond the gym walls and into the rest of the world. Give yourself permission to explore. You might just find what you didn’t know you were looking for.
