I’ve been working with Julia as my personal trainer for over a year now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my health and well-being. Her professionalism, deep knowledge, and genuine dedication to my progress have made every session not only effective but enjoyable. She has pushed me when I needed motivation (both in the gym and over text and check in’s), adapted my workouts when needed (I have bursitis in my joints and suffered an injury at one point), and always celebrated my milestones, big or small, such as loosing 10 lbs, the amount I’m lifting or my stamina. Julia is an incredible trainer, coach, and cheerleader! I started working with her in 2023 to get back in the gym after a really bad arm break. She has been so wonderful to work with, always finding alternative movements and cheering me on. I’m back up to where I was strength-wise on a lot of lifts, all thanks to Julia! I also love having the accountability, and that I don’t have to write my own programming.Lastly, I want to note that Julia is a body-positive and safe person to be around. I have been lifting for a long time, and it’s rare to find such a gem! She cares about your individual goals, and is a great listener without shaming or judging.
I cannot thank Julia enough for her exceptional guidance and support throughout my competition prep to make weight. Her profound knowledge, constant encouragement, and day-to-day guidance have been instrumental in helping me achieve my goals and build trust with a nutritionist that I had lost previously. I've been training with Julia for a couple of months now, and it's been life-changing in the most literal sense!A little background: my doctor had recommended that I start a weight training regimen to help alleviate the chronic back pain I'd been battling for months. As a "cardio guy" who'd practically never touched a barbell in his life, and given the fragile state of my back, I felt like I needed someone to safely teach me the ropes. That's what prompted me to search for a personal trainer--and I'm so glad that Julia is the person who I found.From our very first session, I knew I was in the hands of a true expert who I could trust. Julia is just so personable and warm--an all-around great human who takes a genuine interest in your life and makes you feel heard. The training program she built for me has felt perfectly tuned to my needs and the issues I was experiencing. Patience is something I struggle with, but Julia has been great at urging me to slow down a little and focus on fundamentals. She's deeply analytical about form, and her advice and adjustments have helped me progress quickly and safely into lifting heavier weights. It's been an intense process that has taken me pretty far outside my comfort zone, but not once has it felt like it was unsafe for my back or beyond my capabilities.Julia also goes far above and beyond with communication. She checks in multiple times a week to see how I'm feeling and adjusts our training regimen based on my how I'm feeling and the progress I've been making.At risk of this sounding like a cheesy testimonial, I can honestly say that I'm feeling better and stronger than I have in years -- not just my back (knock on wood), but holistically. I now look forward to going to the gym, which is something I could've never imagined just months ago--and Julia's played a huge role in that mental transformation! Julia has been my coach now for 4 months, and it has been the best for months of my life.Prior to having Julia as my coach, I was a body builder who then was in a life changing accident & lost the ability to walk for 6 months. I had to have major surgery on my leg and learn how to do everything from walking to working out again. That happened three years ago, and since then, my overall fitness has never been the same.I was uneven and lacked functional strength. I also had an obsession of working out due to fear of never being able to work out again.With all of this in mind, Julia stepped into my life, and it's been incredible. We actually met over our love of desserts; and then our passion for dogs and working out.Since she has become my coach, I have almost doubled my strength, my muscles are symmetric, I feel confident in and out of the gym, and more importantly, I feel mentally balanced.She has not only made me a better "athelet," but she has made my quality of life better. I no longer worry about "did I work out hard enough"- my workouts are purposeful and challenging. I feel physically, emotionally, and mentally stronger.In addition, she is always there for me. We check in on a daily basis. She makes my workouts unique for my abilities and goals.
